In order to get a Library card you will need to provide proof of residency.
Proof of residency can include:
- Driver's License
- Printed Bank Checks
- Rental Agreement
- Utility Bill
- Property Tax Statement
Children under 18 will require a parent's signature.
$1.00 to replace a lost Library card.
Vacation Home: You will need to provide a Property Tax

- Books may be renewed by phone.
- Drop box is provided for after-hours.
- Fines accumulate at .15 cents per day per book.

Limited computer help is available. Individuals needing substantial help should bring someone with them.

- Faxing $2.00/first page, $1.00 for each page thereafter.

Downloading Libby and accessing Up North Digital Collection
Simply click on the "Up North Digital Collection" logo on the top left and you will be redirected to the Up North Digital Collection. From their website you will see the links to access and download the Libby app to your device. Once you have downloaded the Libby app you will then select "sign in" and answer the questions. Next search for library and look for "Up North Michigan Consortium". Choose Marion Public Library from the drop-down list of libraries and enter your library card number.
